Front Desk/Docent
The Front Desk/Docent volunteer helps with sales and provides information to visitors about our gallery shows, upcoming events and classes. They also help with registering individuals for events and classes, as well as help curate and maintain the history of Arts on Grand by clipping articles and photos published in local newspapers and periodicals. Some general cleaning/window and display arranging/set up help is also wanted, as well as help with occasional mailing, but not required. Help us create a welcoming environment for our visitors!
Hospitality
If you enjoy playing host to your friends and trying new recipes, this is a great position for you! This volunteer helps provide tasty hors d’oeuvres and desserts for our gallery receptions and events such as Music in the Gallery. This is a creative position that allows you to have fun with décor and food. Help us create a memorable experience for our events!
Classroom/Education
The Classroom/Education volunteer helps us maintain the cleanliness and order of the classroom, as well as helps with our continuing effort to improve our classroom space. This individual will also help create example pieces for classes and help “trouble shoot” projects. If you’re not afraid to get dusty and dirty and doesn’t shy away from paint and power tools, this is a job for you!
Art at the Fair
Each year we enjoy bringing a unique art experience to our visitors at our corner of the fairgrounds at the Clay County Fair! We always need help before the Fair helping to organize the materials needed for our projects, as well as creating signage, sorting supplies, making example pieces, art pieces, etc. We also need help during the Fair for our various projects with children and adults, as well as greeting visitors and standing in for artists when they need to take a break. Help us continue to bring our splash of color to the Clay County Fair!
Gallery and Gallery Shop
We switch out our Gallery approximately each month with new shows and exhibitions. The Gallery and Gallery Shop volunteer will help us hang incoming shows, as well as tear down and packing up of shows going out. This volunteer will also help with re-arranging the Gallery Shop on a semi-weekly basis to help keep it looking fresh and inviting. This job is especially fun during the holiday season, when we go nuts with the greenery, ornaments, ribbon and lights! The Gallery and Gallery Shop position is perfect for the volunteer with a fantastic sense of interior design and décor!
