Arts on Grand welcomes the citizens of Spencer to share their original artworks from the walls of their homes for a fun special exhibit. This idea was so much fun the last time around in 2013, that we thought it would be great to have “Spotlight on Spencer II”. To participate in the event Arts on Grand requests photographs or digital examples of professional original art (no prints, no copies) – framed drawings, paintings in oil, watercolor, acrylic, charcoal, graphite; and three dimensional work in stone, clay, metal or wood to be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org. The submissions will be reviewed by the Jury Committee for suitability for the exhibit. The limit of 2 works per household for consideration allows for greater participation from the community.
The works presented should include the name of the artist with some biographical information, the date or general era of the work, the medium, and the value (this is only for the gallery insurance information – not sale information). So if you have a painting by a great uncle, a sculpture you purchased in Italy, a sketch by Rembrant, or work done by past exhibitors in the AOG gallery, you could share. This exhibit will run from May 22 to June 30 with a special reception open to the public.
