Feb 20 - March 24
2008

An art exhibit by Joanne Alberda from Sioux Center will begin at Arts on Grand on February 20, 2008.  “A Geometry of Time and Space” is a textile exhibit of quilted wall hangings.

Alberda is an emeritus art professor at Dordt College whose areas of interest include fiber art, photography, drawings and pottery.  Alberda said that her primary interest has always been design and texture, and her artwork is an extension of the “Intro to Design 101” class that she taught before her retirement.

There will be an artist talk and reception on February 28, at 2 p.m.  The reception is free and open to the public. This exhibit will be on display until March 22, 2008.

This exhibit coincides with the Prairie Doll and American Doll Quilt Exhibit at the Parker Museum from February 5 through March 28, 2008.
